Surrounded by lush bushland and overlooking their private dam this home makes an ideal weekender to escape the home owners busy Sydney work.
Opening up the house to capture the views was a key design feature with bifold windows and doors used extensively throughout the home. The split level kitchen living area offers amazing views across the dam. 3m height bifold doors are used on 3 of the living door walls giving panoramic views from every angle. Fixed hilite and raked hilite windows further enhance the sense of space and room light helping to flood the rooms with light.
ClearVent sashless double hung windows are also used in this area. These were selected as the do not have a horizontal line to interrupt the view but can be opened to allow the cool breeze to circulate in the room when the bifolds are closed.
Centor retractable screens were used on most of the bifold doors and windows. They allow them to be used throughout the year with out the hassle of insects and don't obstruct the view when not in use.
Colour match hardware was selected to complement the neutral tones throughout the house.
